Conservation group faults EPA plan to kill prairie dogs, fearing ferrets are at risk (The Kansas City Star)
WASHINGTON | A Kansas conservation group is suing the Environmental Protection Agency over a plan to kill prairie dogs by using pesticides that also are dangerous to other wildlife. Audubon of Kansas, along with Defenders of Wildlife, alleges that the EPA ignored the concerns of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service about the use of the pesticides.
